Sport is very popular at Wilberforce. We have Rugby, Football and Netball teams who compete in the British Colleges Sport Programme (BCS), with lots of opportunities for students at all levels to be involved.

Fixtures are held every Wednesday afternoon, both home and away, as all students have Wednesday afternoons free. Our Netball team got through to the quarter-finals of the BCS National League, one of our First Team footballers made it on to the BCS England Team, and a whole team of students made it to the BCS Championships in sports such as cross-country, swimming, and squash. We support all our students to strive to achieve their best in their chosen sport, providing transport and covering competition entry fees to ensure there are no barriers to participation. Have a look at some of the successes our sports students have enjoyed in the past year in our news section. In addition to the team sports, there are lots of other sport enrichment programmes you could try out, including:

  • Badminton
  • Netball
  • Football
  • Zumba

We are always looking to introduce new enrichment activities, so if you have an idea for a sport or activity that you would like us to run, please email
