The brand-new Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards (HEYPIBA) has announced Wilberforce Sixth Form College as their main event sponsor.
The College have recently joined the Bondholders and are looking to become even more engaged with the local business community.
Wilberforce Sixth Form College, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, aim to be an outstanding college. Not only do they take time to value individuals and promote self – esteem; they work with students and the community to raise aspirations and enable all learners to fulfil their potential. They pride themselves on encouraging innovation, creativity and enjoyment through education.
It’s these core values at the heart of Wilberforce that are truly reflected in the ethos of the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards, enhancing the newly formed partnership and making them a natural fit for headline sponsors.
Founded by entrepreneur and innovator Jo Fleming, the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards are the first of its kind in the region, and aim to recognise the hard work, dedication and talent of local people in all areas of employment.

Taking place on Friday 12th July at the DoubleTree Hilton in Hull, the awards are free of charge to enter, with 11 categories for people in all areas of work and levels – from Apprentice of the Year to First Class Service and Inspiring Contribution.
The evening will be compared by The Apprentice 2008 winner, Lee McQueen, with guests enjoying entertainment from the UK’s most popular party band The Tzars, and a speech from guest speakers Rob and Paul Forken – entrepreneurs and brothers that were left orphaned by the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami.
