Illuminating & Inspirational National Careers Week 2018

Over 400 Wilberforce students participated in National Careers Week events in March giving them valuable insights into the world of work.

Employer-led activities included ex-student Jade Ferguson, Senior Prosecutor from the CPS, who gave an illuminating presentation to Law and Public Services students and Brendon Smurthwaite from KCOM delivered valuable Employability Skills Workshops to Sports, Media, Engineering and IT students. Three sales and marketing managers from the ‘Working Options’ business speakers group came in to talk to Business and IT students about their top-tips for careers success. Students also took part in two PUSH talks from motivational speaker Moj Taylor, who inspired positive thoughts about Higher Education and career success post College.
