UCAS Applications: update

As a college we want to support students who have worked incredibly hard on their UCAS applications, and remind you that the effort you have applied to your studies and applications to higher education has been fantastic.  Although some changes have been made to the UCAS process, you are still very much in control of your application and we urge you to take the time to consider your options.  Here’s what you need to know:

Already selected your firm and insurance choices?

That’s fine.  Your choices remain the same and you just need to await information from UCAS and your chosen institutions, who will provide all the information you need.

Not selected your choices or had all your responses back yet?

If you met the UCAS submission deadline of 15th January then you will receive responses from all of the universities that you applied to by 6th May, if you haven’t already.  Don’t worry if you are still waiting for some decisions.

If you have not selected you firm or/and insurance offer then you have until 19th May to do so if all of the universities you applied to have responded by 31st March.
*(New information as of 25th March)

If you are still awaiting a response from a university after 31st March then you have until 4th June to select your firm/insurance choice.

Please ensure you check your college emails daily, as well as any emails linked to your UCAS application, and UCAS Track.  You must reply by the deadlines  above or you will risk losing your offers – this is the same as any other year.

It is also recommended that you follow UCAS and Student Finance England on social media, as well as the College Careers Service:  Twitter @W6FCCareers Instagram @wilbercareers as we will be re-posting relevant information.
