DAVIES SCHOLARSHIP WINNER, CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY
TALENTED FORMER WILBERFORCE STUDENT AND POTENTIAL PARTICLE PHYSICIST, MEGAN WILSON, IS NOW BLAZING A TRAIL AT CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY.
She’s just won ‘The Davies Scholarship’ for gaining a first in her recent exams and coming top in her year out of 630 other natural sciences students! She’s also been awarded the ‘BP Prize for Outstanding Performance’ for the highest mark of the year in her Cambridge chemistry exam. Megan is going to use her £400 prize money to help fund a placement to CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research in Switzerland, where the world’s largest particle accelerator, the Hadron Collider, is located. It’s not all work and no play at uni for Megan though as she’s got into rowing in a big way and is off to ‘Boat Camp’ soon as cox of the men’s second team!
