Wilberforce Hull KR Development squad played their first match of the season against Wyke Sixth Form College this week. At a very windy Craven Park, it was an arm wrestle until Wyke scored a try and dominated the first half 24-8. However, the development squad brought it back in the second half and with the wind behind them, they scored try after try to bring them back in to possession.

A tense final 15 minutes saw the boys earn the win, coming away 44-30 victors.

Hull KR Development squad coach Matty Wilson said “I’m really pleased with the effort from the boys in their first game, to come back from 24-8 down at half time to win the game shows great resilience . Lots of improvement to come but a great start”
