We’ve been a main sponsor of the region’s biggest festival of independent music since 2018, with our flagship solar-powered Youth Stage being a literal platform to showcase the incredible young talent from our area.
We will have students past and present not only performing on the stage, but also taking on a number of roles back stage. So if you are at the Marina on Saturday 3 August, make sure to come and give your support, you may even see some familiar faces!

AND SCENE 🎭
Last night saw our @napahull Performing and Production Arts students take to the stage at @hulltruck for an incredible performance of Calamity Jane. It was fantastic to watch the hard work and talented individuals perform as if they were on the west end stage.
Every year, talent shines through for students completing the course, the skills that are developed through the NAPA/Wilberforce programme create stars of the future, with many progression routes within the Arts industry from performing to production management.

Have you explored the Wilberforce campus yet? Did you know around K Block and the left courtyard area are a series of mini vertical gardens! As well as hosting various pretty flowers, some of the living walls have produced an abundance of healthy produce including radishes, strawberries, lettuce and spinach! All tended to meticulously by @wilberforce_biologists 🍓🥬
We are proud of our ever-evolving green campus, which is helping to reduce our carbon footprint and increase biodiversity attracting bees, butterflies, birds… as well as wonderful new students who we can’t wait to welcome in just over a month! 🌿🦋🐦⬛

IT’S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO 🚥
Forget Silverstone, our eyes were on Blyton Park this week as our 2024 Green Power Car Team took to the track! Read the race report below! ⬇️
The @greenpowertrust challenge harnesses the excitement of motorsport and engineering to inspire young people to excel in #STEM as students design and engineer on campus in our designated workshop a single-seat IET Formula 24+ green-powered aerodynamic car.🔋

RACE REPORT // TUESDAY 9 JULY 2024:
Despite the weather conditions, with a 1 minute 44 seconds lap Colin (the chosen name for this year’s car) was the fastest on the track and after 10 minutes, driver Jacob Jackets led the pack in the F24+ Greenpower race! 🏎️
The team had set off in heavy rain and by the time of the race Jacob, Maksymilian, Josh, Konrad, Charlie, Alex, Jacob and Logan had spent four hours in the wet… but their spirits did not dampen and once the rain stopped and the track started to dry out, Team Wilberforce were flying round the track! A complete credit to their design and engineering work over the past year! 🌟
With performance at its peak, victory was in sight… however in a unanimous decision the team instead demonstrated their camaraderie and in the true essence of sport decided that it would only be fair to let all the second year drivers have a 10 minute turn and farewell in style to their college journey… as well as a very posh post-race picnic! 🤩
Five driver changes, a decision that would cost the race but give everyone a turn epitomises the teamwork, respect and friendship that the team has grown over the past year, well done to you all! 🌟
