Parent Portal Log-in Guide

1. Set Password

To set your password you will need the following details:

  • Email address
  • Student reference (will start with S followed by five numbers – your child will have this on their ID badge) 
  • Student date of birth 

Go to https://cedar.wilberforce.ac.uk/auth/resetparent

Complete the fields and click ‘Submit Form’ (example shown in the image). 

Once you have submitted the information the following message will appear, and an email will be sent to the address you provided:   

Go to the email, which should look something like this: 

You should click on the link in the email to set your password.   

You are now setup and ready to use the Cedar Parent Portal.

To access the Cedar Parent Portal, go to: https://cedar.wilberforce.ac.uk which will take you to the following screen:   

Click on ‘Parent sign in’, which will take you to the following sign-in screen:

In the ‘Username’ field, enter the email address you previously supplied the college.  In the ‘Password’ field, add the password that you have just set.   

Click ‘LOGIN’ to access the Parent Portal home screen for your child.

3. Navigating Parent Portal

HOMEPAGE

This is the first page that will appear when you log into Parent Portal.  Here you will find the overall attendance percentage, today’s activities (lessons and sessions), and details of your child’s Tutor.  You can use the links within the page to view both Attendance Summary and Timetable.

MENU

This helps you navigate to the various parts of the Parent Portal.  An arrow to the left indicates that there is a sub menu.

TIMETABLE

This displays your child’s core timetable for the week. Details include time, room, teacher and class code.  It won’t always include additional sessions (such as revision or catch-up lessons) that teachers run on an ad-hoc basis.

ASSESSMENT GRADES

This shows your child’s outcomes for each main assessment point.  If often includes information such as Assessment Grade, Progress Grade, Effort Grade for that point in time.

PRESENCE (ATTENDANCE)

This provides a summary of your child’s attendance to lessons.

ABSENCE

This provides a summary of your child’s absences.
