Creating performance material workshop

Creativity plays a big role within the Performing Arts industry, you may be creating your own performance for stage or camera, creating a lesson for teaching or content for social media. This workshop will give you an insight on how to create your own performance using a stimulus. You will work as a group and take on different roles included within a performance company- These range from director to choreographer.  These performances will be for a range of performance settings including; Screen performance, stage performance & social media content.

Song writing workshop.  

The art of writing songs is about expression. Whether a songwriter is expressing their own feelings, telling a story, hoping to trigger a response, or simply aiming to entertain, the power of a song to inspire or touch an audience is undeniable. Learners will practise the skills required in combining lyrics and music effectively in a range of contexts.   

You don’t need to play an instrument or sing, this workshop will focus on writing lyrics, poetry or prose and show you techniques on how to express your ideas creatively.

Working in performance workshop     

Interested in working within the performing arts industry, this workshop will give you an insight into job opportunities and routes within the industry, a practice audition and skills & techniques required within the performing arts industry. This is a practical based workshop where you will take part in an industry style audition including, technique class, creative & repertoire work. We will also finish on a session looking into further job routes within the industry including teaching & creating your own performing arts business.

Working in the music industry / Live Sound and Recording  

Interested in Live sound? Recording? Putting on Gigs?  

In this masterclass you will learn how to make money in the music industry. A popular myth is that music is only a hobby, it’s not! it is a trillion-pound industry. There are so many job opportunities and so much money to be made in the music industry. There is no reason it cannot be yours; This Master class will also give you a broad overview of setting a live gig as a sound engineer, and how the music industry works as a business.
