Wilberforce is proud to announce a new partnership with Arcmaster Ltd, a leading UK supplier of welding and engineering equipment, dedicated to supporting industry, education, and skills development across the sector.

Arcmaster is well established within the engineering industry, providing high-quality welding machines, consumables, safety equipment, and specialist technical support to businesses and training providers nationwide. With a strong focus on innovation, safety, and workforce development, the company works closely with education partners to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.

The partnership will see Arcmaster provide a range of industry-standard equipment, resources, and student support to enrich the College’s Engineering curriculum. This includes access to specialist welding technology, personal protective equipment (PPE), and a selection of learning materials and consumables. Students will also benefit from incentives such as “Student of the Year” awards, helping to recognise outstanding achievement and commitment.

A key feature of the partnership is the provision of real-world industry exposure. Through access to Arcmaster’s hire fleet, featuring advanced welding plants, plasma cutters, power sources, positioning equipment, and fume extraction systems, students will gain valuable hands-on experience with the tools and technologies used in modern engineering environments.

Suzanna May, Deputy Principal at Wilberforce, said:
“This partnership with Arcmaster represents a significant step forward for our Engineering provision. By giving our students access to high-quality equipment and real industry insight, we are strengthening the bridge between education and employment. These opportunities will not only enhance their learning experience but also better prepare them to become the skilled engineers of the future.”

Karl King, Operations Director at Arcmaster Ltd, added:
“We are delighted to be working with Wilberforce to support the next generation of engineers. Investing in young people and providing them with access to industry-standard equipment is essential for developing the skills our sector depends on. We look forward to seeing students thrive through this partnership.”

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing future talent and ensuring students leave Wilberforce equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in engineering careers.
