Colin Peaks

I am proud to be Principal at Wilberforce Sixth Form College and even prouder of the inclusive, enriching education that we offer to thousands of young people across Hull and East Yorkshire.

My aim for the College is simple: For all students to receive an outstanding experience, secure outstanding results and progress on to exciting opportunities, either in education or the world of work.

My staff and I place the students at the heart of everything we do, and we are fully committed to support them in reaching their potential and achieving their dreams.

As Vice Principal, I am responsible for ensuring students are supported, right from applying through to when it’s time to move onto their next steps. I line manage the Admissions team, Student Services, Study Support and Careers, who all provide specialist information, advice and guidance in their respective fields.

Support services at Wilberforce College are outstanding; we all work hard to ensure that barriers to learning are removed and support – both pastoral and educational – is in place for students to achieve their potential.

Vice Principal
Stewart Edwards

Assistant Principal

My Assistant Principal role covers all elements of the ‘Student Experience’ such as upskilling, enrichment, employability, work experience and student voice.

I am passionate that the student experience at college goes beyond the classroom and that they are given opportunities to undertake extra-curricular activities that promote and develop essential employability skills – be it through the Upskilling Programme or going out on work placement.

I am also responsible for the College’s Student Voice programme, working with students to gain feedback on their experiences and ensuring that feedback is used to maintain or even improve our provision.
