You must have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 9-4 in three or more subjects. You should also have a grade 3 or higher in English Language.
You must be able to perform confidently in front of others and will be required to audition for this course.
This course is in partnership with the Northern Academy of Performing Arts, a leading provider for Performing Arts in the country. NAPA will work with you to take part in their productions, whether that be on stage or behind the scenes. You will also be given the opportunity to take part in showcases with Wilberforce, whether that be our Achievement Awards Evening or Creative Arts Festival.
Students who complete the L3 qualification in Performing and Production Arts can go on to complete a degree in an area like Dance, Performing Arts or Stage Management. It may be that you want to continue down a specialist route and enrol at a specialist college or university, which will provide you with further training in your chosen skill. You may also decide to go straight into the world of work, or secure a higher level apprenticeship within an education, theatre or performance setting.
Students who complete a qualification in Performing and Production Arts go on to a wide variety of jobs. These can include: Choreographer, Dancer, Stage Manager, Actor or Teacher.
