Bus Travel
We have routes across Hull and the East Riding to ensure students have an easy and accessible route to and from the college.
College buses from September 2024 are: 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 110 (Stagecoach) and W1, W2 (Ellie Rose). See below a list of areas that our bus routes cover.
Bus times are provided by the respective bus companies and are subject to change. Bus times are approximate so please be at the bus stop early. Wilberforce Sixth Form College accepts no responsibility for any change to the service or reliability of the service.

Return Journeys
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:
All return buses depart college at 4:20pm, except Route 110 which departs college at 4:18pm.
Wednesday:
On a Wednesday your timetabled lessons will finish at 2.00pm the W1, W2, 83 and 110 will depart the College at 2.20pm. All other college buses (81, 82, 84 and 85) will not depart until 4.20pm. The College will keep the Learning Resource Centre open on a Wednesday afternoon until 4.00pm giving students a great opportunity to undertake independent study.
For those students who may wish to find an alternative way home during the afternoon, the number 8 bus services stops outside the College on a Wednesday afternoon at 2:34pm, this bus goes to the Hull Interchange from where any connecting buses can be taken. -
Other Local Buses
A number of Stagecoach buses stop directly outside Wilberforce, including the 8. For more details, see the Hull Bus Guide or the local bus service websites for Stagecoach and EYMS.

Bus Fares
All journeys on the designated college bus routes shown below carry a flat fare of £1 per journey for Wilberforce Students.
KAT travel cards are available. Please speak to Student Services at Reception for more information or contact enquiries@wilberforce.ac.uk.
MIDDLESEX ROAD WORKS
Please note that due to planned works from
11th November 2024 – 05th May 2025
Middlesex Road will be closed to all traffic in both directions.
During the closure the Service 8 outbound & 110 to Beverley Bus Station will travel from the Interchange onto Saltshouse Road as normal, then stay on Saltshouse Road up to the mini roundabout with Dunvegan Road and then turn right onto Dunvegan Road to regain normal route.
Service 8 inbound Rd & 110 to Hull Interchange will be the reverse of above.
Service 82 from Wilberforce College will stay on Saltshouse Rd up to the mini roundabout with Bellfield Ave then turn left onto Bellfield Ave to regain normal route.
All stops on diversion to be observed.

The former 111 Stagecoach bus and route will now this 2024/2025 year be called the 110. The route has not altered for Wilberforce students boarding the AM and PM route shown below.

Additional Travel Information
Parking
We have ample car parking for cars and motorcycles to the front and side of the college. A parking permit can be obtained from Student Services.
Cycling
Many of our students cycle to college, we have a large secure cycle compound. Entry to the cycle compound is via a thumb print scanner. To register, please see Student Services once you have your student ID card at the beginning of term.
