Overview

This will enable you to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of science, with an emphasis on fascinating topics linked to forensic and criminal investigation. Choose this course if you are looking to progress onto Level 3 Applied Science, Forensics, Criminology or any A Level science.

What will you learn?

You will study Biology, Chemistry and Physics throughout this course to build your scientific skills, knowledge and understanding. We also offer modules in crime scene investigation, the human body and the environment.

Who is the course aimed at?

This course is for you if you want to progress onto higher level study (Level 3) in a science-related field.

    You must have a minimum of four GCSEs grade 9-3 or equivalent, including English, Maths and preferably Science.

    This course will provide you with the opportunity to hear from academic and industry professionals, talks and workshops, as well as visiting leading universities across the UK. You will also be given the opportunity to take part in events like our PulseCSI day, which helps you to experience a day in the life as a CSI Investigator and Forensic Scientist.

    This is the perfect course to set the basis for a Level 3 qualification in Forensic Science or Science in general.

  • Outcomes Arrow down

    Students who complete a qualification in Forensic and Criminal Investigation go on to a wide variety of jobs. These can include: Analytical Chemist, Crime Scene Investigator, Forensic Scientist, Police Officer or Scientific Laboratory Technician.
