You must have:
• At least five GCSE grades 9-4 and a minimum GCSE average of 5.3
• A grade 4 or higher in GCSE English Language
• A grade 5 or higher in either GCSE Physics, Chemistry or Biology, or a double 5 in General Science
• A grade 5 or higher in GCSE Maths
This course will provide you with the opportunity to take part in trips to leading universities and hear from industry professionals and academics. It will also help to prepare you for a career in medicine through our Future Medics programme, which will give you advice on applications to schools, interviews and what career path is best for you.
A Level Chemistry is the perfect subject to lead onto a science or STEM based subject at university. Chemistry itself is a good option, as are subjects like Biology, Physics, Maths, Medicine or Engineering. You may also choose to complete a degree in a specialist area, such as Pharmaceuticals.
Students who complete a qualification in Chemistry go on to a wide variety of jobs. These can include: Forensic Scientist, Pharmacologist, Toxicologist, Biochemist, Technical Writer or Teacher, to name a few.
