This Level 2 BTEC Art and Design course is designed for students who want to explore their creativity and develop core art and design skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Entry Requirements & Other Info

    You must have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 9-3, including English Language and/or Maths.

    A strong interest in art and design is essential. A small portfolio of work may be requested during the application process.

    You will have the opportunity to work on real-world design briefs, take part in exhibitions, and visit galleries and museums. There may also be chances to collaborate on community projects or enter local and national art competitions.

    During the course you will develop a diverse and professional portfolio of work, built strong technical and creative skills plus gain a recognised qualification that supports your progression into further education or entry-level roles in the creative industries

  • Outcomes Arrow down

    Successful completion of the Level 2 BTEC Art and Design course can lead to: 

    • Level 3 Art and Design qualifications (such as BTEC Extended Diploma or UAL Diploma) at Wilberforce
    • Specialist creative courses in areas such as Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography, or Illustration 
    • Apprenticeships in the creative sector
