You must have at least four GCSE grades 9-4 or equivalent in three or more subjects and a grade 3 or higher in GCSE English Language. To undertake this Level 3 course, you must also have passed the respective course at Level 2.
Teaching will take place in both the classroom and in the College’s impressive and fully equipped training salon, where you will develop your understanding of the practices and procedures needed for a career in hairdressing. You will be working with others and giving and receiving hairdressing services. You will also have the opportunity to take part in Upskilling and College events, like W Day ONE, running stalls that offer things like hair braiding.
This Level 3 course is the perfect stepping stone into a higher-level apprenticeship, or straight into the world of work.
This course is for anyone who wants a career in hairdressing. You will be able to become either a hairdresser or barber, or if you want to go into a more specialist area, a colourist or hair stylist. Hairdressing and styling is a skill that is always needed, so you won’t be short of career opportunities once completing this course!
