Overview

If you would like to work within the television or film industry, then this very practical course is ideally suited to students who want hands-on experience of production work in the media rather than consistently writing analyses or essays. You will also take specialist units looking at shooting a single camera drama, video editing, animation production and more.

This course is in partnership with Screen Yorkshire’s Connected Campus initiative, helping students to break into the competitive Film and TV industry. Students at Wilberforce College will be able to access a variety of boot camps, masterclasses and special events. They will also be able to visit current sets and studios, take part in industry workshops and listen to visiting speakers.

By fostering and building relationships between educators and employers, Wilberforce and Screen Yorkshire are then able to ensure that their students are fully equipped for the demands of a contemporary, rapidly-changing industry, creating a talented, versatile and fully-informed workforce.
