Who is the course aimed at?
This course is for you if you would like a career working with computers and you would like to find out more about how computer games are designed and developed. It is ideal if you want to expand your computing skills and open up a range of further study and careers opportunities.

Entry Requirements
You must have a minimum of four GCSEs grade 9-4, including English Language and Maths.

Experiences
This course will provide you with the opportunity to take part in trips to EGX London, the biggest gaming event of the year. You will be able to visit panels featuring the biggest names in gaming and hear all about unreleased games and technology, as well as play some of those games yourself! Within the college, you’ll be able to take part in the Upskilling Programme which will feature gaming and coding clubs, as well as our Esports Team, the Wilberforce Wolves!

Progression
Students who complete a qualification in Esports can go on to complete a degree in Esports, or something more broad like Marketing. It may be that you want to enter straight into the world of work and this qualification would help you to secure a higher level apprenticeship in an area like IT, Games Design or Marketing. There is also the opportunity to start your own business through becoming a professional streamer.

Outcomes
Students who complete a qualification in Esports go on to a wide variety of jobs. These can include: Campaign Manager, Caster, Digital Content Creator, Esports Journalist, Esports Specialist or Esports Talent Acquisition Manager.
