POV: YOUโ€™RE A WILBERFORCE DIGITAL STUDENT

At Wilberforce, as a digital student you will get hands-on experience with the technology shaping tomorrow not only using the College's facilities, but also by visiting partner employers.

Recently a group of our digital students took a trip to @sewellgroup. Students used CAD software to design plumbing routes before testing their designs in practical workshops. They also explored real building plans from some of Sewell's recent projects through augmented reality, equipping them with real-world industry skills.

ENGLISH AND CREATIVE ARTS ALUMNI โ€“ Isobelโ€™s Journey ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽจ

After achieving a B in A Level English Language & Literature, B in A Level Fine Art and A in A Level Media Studies at Wilberforce, Isobel is now in their final year of Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield, gaining hands-on experience with major media organisations including Sky News, Hits Radio, and receiving press passes for festivals and live events.

โ€œMy time at Wilberforce was an important step in shaping both my independence and my future career. I loved my time at the college as it let me gain independent skills whilst still having the structure of education. I basically lived in the old art block and loved the atmosphere of the college. It prepared me well for university and I wouldnโ€™t be where I am now without my experiences at Wilberforce. Wilberforce is what opened my eyes to the possibility of journalism and Iโ€™ve loved every second since.โ€

Since leaving Wilberforce, Isobel secured their first-choice university place and was awarded a scholarship which supported their journey into higher education.

Now, theyโ€™re working towards a first-class degree and aiming to begin a career in journalism, with dreams of becoming a writer for major music publications such as Rolling Stone or NME.

Inspired by Isobel's journey to a Russel Group University? Apply now for our English Language and Literature Course and start your journey at Wilberforce. Link in our bio ๐Ÿ”—
